Add Your Book for Review

Last updated: March 31, 2026

Follow these steps to list your book on the platform, fetch details from Amazon, and set your review preferences for moderators to approve.

Video Overview

Step 1: Initiate the Listing

  1. Navigate to the main menu and locate the Author Links section.
  2. Click on Add Book.
  3. Paste your book’s Amazon URL into the provided field.
  4. Click Fetch Book Information. The system will automatically import your cover image and basic details.

Step 2: Select Review Formats

Review the imported information for accuracy, then choose how you want reviewers to access your book.

  • Amazon Formats: Select all available options (e.g., Audible, Kindle Unlimited, Paperback). Selecting all formats increases your review rate.
  • Digital Files (EPUB/PDF): You can opt to upload an EPUB or PDF version. This allows for “unverified” reviews, which are popular because reviewers do not need a paid subscription to participate.

Step 3: Set Paperback Purchase Verification

If you are offering paperback reviews, you must choose a method to verify that the reviewer actually purchased the physical copy:

  • Option A: Page Number Verification (Recommended)
    • Select Yes if your book has page numbers.
    • Choose a random page number and enter it into the system.
    • Identify the first word on that specific page and enter it.
    • Repeat this for a second random page.
  • Option B: Photo Verification
    • Select No if your book does not have page numbers.
    • Reviewers will be required to upload a photo of the book alongside a unique User ID code.

Step 4: Provide Word Count

To help reviewers understand the time commitment required, you must provide an accurate word count:

  • From Document: Check the bottom of your Word or text processor, or look under File > Edit.
  • Manual Estimate: If you don’t have a digital count, find the average word count of one page and multiply it by the total number of pages.
  • Token Calculation: Once entered, the system will display the Token Cost required to publish your book and request reviews.

Step 5: Configure Targeting and Metadata

Click to the next page to refine how members find your book:

  • Geographic Targeting: Select “All Countries,” use the shortcut for “English Speaking Countries,” or pick specific regions.
  • Book Summary: Review the summary pulled from Amazon. You can edit this to include specific keywords to improve searchability within our library.
  • Categories and Tags: Select the most relevant categories and tags. These are essential for members who use filters to find books in specific genres or topics.

Step 6: Submit for Approval

  1. Review all entered data one last time.
  2. Click Submit for Moderator Approval.
  3. Wait for Notification: Our team will manually review your listing. You will receive an email once it is approved.
  4. Publish: After approval, log back into your account and click Publish to move your book into the library for reviewers to discover.
